Talkeetna is a small Alaska town that is a staging area for expeditions up Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley.) It is rumored to be the inspiration behind the TV show "Northern Exposure." This painting given an Award of Excellence in Oils at the Tampa Regional Artists Exhibition, Bay Area Artists 10 in June of 2017; South Tampa, FL.
About Craig Morris
Craig was born and raised in the New York City Metro area. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from Middlebury College and did additional course work at Dartmouth College and The New Hampshire Institute of Art, studying under Christopher Pothier. After receiving his degree from Middlebury, Craig found himself in the world of professional photography and moved away from painting for many years. Wherever he traveled throughout the United States, he always took his camera and captured thousands of images, gathering source material for paintings.
